Sunday School
The Sunday School is the heart and soul of the educational ministry of Graceview. It is where the Bible is taught to every age group. Our dedicated staff takes their responsibility to teach the Scriptures seriously. We have classes for children, youth and adults. Christian education isn’t just for children but is important for adults. This is a great way to connect with people in the Church. Our classes are small enough where you will get to know others and grow in grace.
We offer two adult electives. These are designed to deepen the faith of adults. The classes contain some of every age group as well as singles and married couples.
Mark Paris is teaching The Book of Revelation. The Second Coming is an important subject. It is the next great movement of the kingdom of God. There is much confusion on this subject and Mark will clarify the figurative language and explain the meaning. This will challange and bless everyone who comes.
Our second class is taught by Dan Denning and is The Book of Galations.. The subject is the grace of God. Many Christians are confused by the freedom of grace. The apostle clearly describes our freedom in Christ as he battles legalism. This is the Magna Carter of the Christian faith. Join us for this exciting study. .
Every adult is encouraged to study the word of God and deepen his faith. So often adults have a very rudimentary understanding of the word of God. Real spiritual renewal comes only thru expanding our understanding of Scripture.
Children's Ministries
Children are included in God’s covenant promise. God promised Abraham that his children would be included in the promise, and passed on the blessing through the line of Isaac, who is known as the child of promise. On the day of Pentecost the Apostle Peter reiterated the promise and reminded the people that the promise is to them, their children and all who believe in Jesus. When a child is baptized the congregation vows to assist the parents in the spiritual nurture of the child. We have a spiritual responsibility toward that child. The Church members are responsible to assist in the child's growth in grace and knowledge of Christ. There is a bond of love that has developed between our adults and children. They are our children.
Christian Education is important for children. We want to reach them with the Gospel and teach them the Bible in a way that is understandable and useful for their lives. Our classes are small which allows for personal interaction with our dedicated, loving and faithful staff. All of our teachers have taught their own children and want to fulfill their vow of membership that they took when these children were baptized to assist the parents in the Christian nurture of these children.
Wonderful Wednesday
Our goal is not just to entertain our children but to reach them with the Gospel and nurture their faith. But to reach children there has to be fun and Wonderful Wednesday is geared for children that meets Wednesdays 4:30-6:00pm. It includes recreation, refreshments, and singing. Once a month we do a special service project. During the summer we change the time to 1:30pm-4:00 and have a weekly swimming party, Bible instruction and other events are all designed for children and their parents. All of these events are open for friends and family and community at no cost.
