Girls’ Bible Club
We are so thankful for the girls that faithfully come to our home each week full of excitement to learn about the Bible.
This year we began a study about the “Fruit of the Spirit” in Bible Club. Please pray that the girls will live out what they are learning each week so that their families will see a difference in their lives and also have a desire to learn more about God.
The foundation of our ministry is prayer.
As we continue our ministry in Spain, one of the most important aspects of Church Planting is prayer. Every week on Wednesdays Juan Carlos meets with a group of Reformed Presbyterian Pastors to pray for the people of Spain (only 0.5 % consider themselves Evangelical Christians), for strength and endurance, and greater faith. Also, this time serves as an unique opportunity to be accountable in ministry. Juan Carlos has been able to build strong and close relationships with some of these Pastors. One of the important results of these prayer meetings has been the creation of a new prayer meeting group, where all the Reformed Presbyterian Missionaries and Pastors that are currently serving in Madrid are gathering during the last Tuesday of every month. Last month they started the first prayer meeting, and during the January prayer meeting Juan Carlos was invited to lead the devotional that is a part of these meetings.
“Prayer is not for the enhancement of our comforts but for the advancement of Christ’s kingdom” John Piper
We want to express….
our sincere thanks for your very generous gifts to World Witness during the month of December. We give thanks that we do not need to spend vast amounts of time and effort on
“fundraising.” God supplies our every need through you, His people, our friends and family. Thank you! Thank you so much for your partnership in proclaiming the Good News in Spain!
CHRISTMAS COOKIES OPEN HOUSE
In December our family hosted a Christmas cookies and cocoa “open house” and invited families in our apartment building to come to our home. We are so thankful for the eight families that came and for the new friendships that were formed. We are also thankful for opportunities that we had to share with our neighbors about the work that we do in Madrid. Please pray that through these conversations God will soften hearts and show our neighbors their need for a Savior.
FRIENDSHIPS: That we can take our friendships to a deeper level and share more about God.
SALVATION: For the Chinese and Korean families who are so interested in studying the Bible.
SCHOOL: For Esther Catherine to find joy in learning and going to school each day.
